getting the shotby KMcCComment by Yo_Spiff: What I find amazing is the goose is letting a person get so close. The ones near me will run off once I get to 15 feet or so. |

~the boy~by KMcCComment by tate: I like the almost-hidden elements to this. The stray arm of a girl - with just enough for us to understand it is a girl. Wildlife to draw the eye in and around. Obviously more than about just the boy. |

~HIGH FLYING~by KMcCComment by MaryO: Would be a pretty scene with all the rosy hues, but the soaring bird adds so much to the image. Well captured. |

~petal edges~by KMcCComment by JakeKurdsjuk: Critique Club Comment:
First of all, as a photo I really like this though I agree with the point below that a different crop may have given this more impact. As is it's nice, but doesn't blow me away, which seems to be the way it was received.
For an "edge" challenge what I think this lacks is enough real edge. Sure, there are petal edges here, but they aren't really well defined, and even where they are they quickly disappear with the depth of field. Playing with it I believe a tighter crop and some rotation, placing the center off to the side a bit, highlights the edges more, but I can't say that it makes it a much "better image", just one that may have been better received for the challenge. |
