Great texture and tone, however the middle footprint lacks detail and contrast with the rest of the sand and therefore the image feels a little out of balance.

Also, the image feels a little static due to the central location of the line of footprints. A diagonal placement of the footprints could possibly add impact by adding a bit of tension to the image.

Sand, as with snow, plays tricks on the camera's light meter, however you seem to have got the exposure right for the lighting conditions.

Wonderful scene. Shadow is perfect - it makes the shot. Even though the sun is close to the horizon - the sky is a bit over powering. Try a graduated ND filter - it's made for scenes like this. One of my top 10 pics.

The horizon needs straightening. Also, this may be quite subjective but I would say that the mood portrayed here is not one of waiting. I can't imagine what she would be waiting for. It seems more contemplative.
