The soft focus in this shot works really well. I find it amazing that people put or attribute human feelings or expressions to animals. I love domestic animals but I think they feel happiness and sadness and not a whole lot more. Tank is a beautiful model. But I think he is looking for the next pat on the head or food. :)

had to laugh at the comment that he'd spent most of his life in front of the camera .. same with katee and our little budgie .. i use the flash a fair bit and it doesnt faze them at all .. ppl complain and i wonder wot they're going on about .. at the party i took a few shots holding the camera up above my head and pointing down and suddenly realised wot everyone had been going on about .. '!! .. its blinding .. !!!
anyway . this is a lovely pic judy .. his expression is wonderful .. it seems a cross between patient and when will she stop .. !! .. which of course is a contradiction but that's life .. :)
