On the Road Againby JutildaComment by dahkota: Since I don't know what this image looked like without the blur, I don't know what changed. I think it could be great without the blur too. I love the composition of this, the balance and play of light and dark. Think the initial image was very well taken and the editing could go many different ways including what you chose. |

School's Outby JutildaComment by melismatica: This background is a bit busy--
All these things are competing for focus which detracts from the impact of the purple binder:
*the two-tone stripe pattern on the wall
*the brick pattern
* the texture in the shrubbery
*the twiggy lines of the branches
* the broken line created by the grey/white elements on the stair wall
*her large, shiny studded belt |

School's Outby JutildaComment by liebe: Nice job with the candid, as they are ushaly the hardest to shoot. However, the subject doesn't realy connect with the camera and this image just doesn't seem to "Burst". Perhaps slightly desat-ing the backround would have helped. |

On the Road Againby JutildaComment by bacchus: "Dreamy" is an understatement! I tend to shy away from the heavy manipulations, as they often seem to "try to hard" ~ you know? But this one really reaches a point for me. It is dreamy and ethereal and works really well for me. It's just gorgeous. And makes me want to float across I-10 in Texas!
Very nice ~

School's Outby JutildaComment by fadedbeauty: Meets the challenge but needs work on the composition. Perhaps a tighter crop on the girl or just remove some of the excess room to the right...it just seems the one side has too much visual weight with the girl and tree all shoved to one side |
