What keeps this from being successful, in my opinion, is the loss of detail in the brightest parts of the cat (forehead and one side of the face) as well as the lack of crispness in the eyes. Would be more appealing with a less stunned expression and some connection between subject and viewer rather than gazing out of the frame.

I would have preferred the cat to be against a plain background - the dappled detail to the upper right of the frame is distracting. You have brought out texture in the coat, but I can't help but wonder if you have chosen to lighten the image in order to disguise burned out areas. Nonetheless, an apt entry.

Beautiful! Exactly the kind of photo my mind saw as the perfect "white on white" type of photo. I love those crystal blue eyes. The detail in that sea of white is amazing! One of my favorites here.
