Moon Shadowby JutildaComment by roz: an excellent flower photograph .. the blur works so well with the gorgeous areas of sharpness contrasting .. that one stamen sticking up, looking like its in that rule of thirds sweet spot, really adds that perfect element ... i love your processing and the purple hue ..:) .. sweet !!
ps .. regarding 'whistling' .. i was going to call it whistling dixie!!! .. makes perfect sense to an aussie!! Message edited by author 2007-08-13 09:08:01. |

Alter Egoby JutildaComment by roz: love the colours and the interesting subject .. excellent shapes ... funny how when we're doing a side challenge it often influences our entries into the 'real' ones .. a lot of totally excellent sharpless going on here !!.. :) |

Angel Wingsby JutildaComment by Katmystiry: The orange flower really takes over the shot and the bee almost seems secondary to me. Nice work! |

Walk the Dog (30 days of blur)by JutildaComment by posthumous: from the pedagogy thread:
There's always that risk with a blurred shot that it will just look like a regular shot that wasn't focused (I'm sure some people feel that way about every blur photo). This photo gets dangerously close to that point for me. Instead of feeling like something new was created, it tends to feel more like something I already recognize but is trying to hide from me, for no thematic reason I can discern. What I do like about it is the violence of the camera shake lines. I think you have a good technique there and if you point it at the right thing you can have a great photo.
p.s. on reading your comment, I do like the stripes... perhaps if the composition emphasized them more... |

She's Like the Windby JutildaComment by posthumous: What I like most about this one is that the blur distorts the dog so much that it actually changes the appearance of the dog... into a cartoony, perhaps a little scary, sort of creature. |
