Lovely candid portrait here. I have to be honest and say sometimes I struggle with the idea of PP'ing what is potentially a fairly emotive slice of someones life (possibly to do with the idea that I am not sure whether we should 'glamorise' poverty etc) but I think you have done this well and discretely in this shot

often when the focus on the eyes is blurred the image loses impact ... we've probably had a lot of practice doing soft focus over the last week or so, and also appreciating a softer appearance .. well i have .. i'm usually a sucker for sharp, but i love this photograph especially because of the softness & the connection i feel with the person in the photograph ... obviously you !!! ... perfect photograph, perfect process and perfect crop .. :)

I can't believe you didn't brag and show me this gallery piece!! What a heart-stopping photo! Literally. I love everything about it. I like the high key lighting in the background and on his nose. This is just freaking awesome!
