Growing Old Gracefully...by basia03Comment by dsidwell: This is such a nice concept to communicate! Bravo! Your close-up point of view works here. I strongly suspect that had you used natural light, the image's tonal range would have more depth, and this marvelously graceful couple would look a bit more natural. Try shooting them again (they're worth it!) on a bright day, but in the shade. |

Growing Old Gracefully...by basia03Comment by gabrielapollo: the faces, their expressions and composition (faces filling the frames, looking in different directions, not at the camera) are all very nice. you get the sense that these are real people, reflecting on their lives...
this could be a really nice photo. but it needs 2 things (in my opinion): natural light, and not quite so sharp(ened).

Growing Old Gracefully...by basia03Comment by Dave Gordon: This is a lovely portrait; I can excuse the rather far-fetched relationship to the challenge subject. I'm a bit bothered by the hot spots; a more diffused lighting might have made this a really outstanding portrait. |

Growing Old Gracefully...by basia03Comment by Neil: Nice composition, I think a softer light might have been good here. The reflections and shine of the skin seems distractive here. |
