very nice approach to challenge, focus good, light a little harsh/blown out on forehead and cheekbone but good emotion 7

too bad there are such sharp highlights on the woman.

An idea very well executed - the composition is definately a strong point. I like the use of black and white. There are some slight distractions with a few small bright spots throughout the image, but without spot editing, this would be hard to remove.

Why did you use a flash? It washes the details and brightens exaggeratedly the skin. It's a good idea, and expressions are perfect, but more attention to the lighting (coming from the side, or above, or from different points) would have led to something more gracious.

Very good shot, and I love the B&W! :-)

the lighting reflecting off their skin (teeth and eyes also) ruins this a bit for me. perhaps with more subtle, softer lighting.

Nice feeling to your picture but the subjects appear almost oily the way the light is reflecting off their faces.

A sweet picture. Wish it had been natural light...

This is such a nice concept to communicate! Bravo! Your close-up point of view works here. I strongly suspect that had you used natural light, the image's tonal range would have more depth, and this marvelously graceful couple would look a bit more natural. Try shooting them again (they're worth it!) on a bright day, but in the shade.

Excellent pic. I would have taken the shine away though, before submitting it. Great pic though!

It deserves a ten for making me feel so wonderful. :)

The lighting is a bit harsh here, I think less contrast would help this image more.

the faces, their expressions and composition (faces filling the frames, looking in different directions, not at the camera) are all very nice. you get the sense that these are real people, reflecting on their lives...

this could be a really nice photo. but it needs 2 things (in my opinion): natural light, and not quite so sharp(ened).

This is a lovely portrait; I can excuse the rather far-fetched relationship to the challenge subject. I'm a bit bothered by the hot spots; a more diffused lighting might have made this a really outstanding portrait.

Nice composition, I think a softer light might have been good here. The reflections and shine of the skin seems distractive here.

This is a nice shot of this couple but, if they're posed and knowing they're getting their picture taken, dapple their faces with some light powder to take away that shine. They look like they're sweating profusely and it is a terrible distraction. I also think cropping the gentleman's face so close to the border so that his cheek seems cut off should be reconsidered. I love the concept within the challenge theme and with a little tweaking, this would be a great shot.

This is precious, and the title is perfect, both are gracefu; I like the choice of choosing the black and white for this picture it seems to fit perfectly, great job
