There is a nice feel to this picture. I love teh focal qualities, but I don't like that it is nearly square. I really dig teh zig zagging of teh black irrigators? nice shot - I even envy your "wine country."

Sorry for what I said yesterday, I had a bad day and took it out on alot of people. I think your image would be better suited for a weather, lighting, or maybe even a shadows challenge but in my opinion just because it's an object and still doesn't make it a still life. You have nice composition and DOF, I would like to see a little more light on the first one, or maybe if all of them were on, but regardless I don't think it belongs in a still life competition.

A cool carving of the pumpkin, but there is too much dark space for my taste. I'd like to see more of the pumpkin and less of the surroundings. A good idea for the challenge.

Slightly burry but you can see what it is suppose to represent. I like how it also shows the outline and not just the inner features. The gradient of red/yellow in the carvings is good also. It seems a little lost in the black, tho, and I think having a cloer-up shot that fills the frame would probably have been more effective.
