Comment by Denielle:
For some reason, I am drawn to this picture more than the others in the challenge. Perhaps it's the detail...
I can't quite put my finger on it... but it's one of my top rated photos in the challenge.

Very cool - I like that the bird is the lightest thing in the frame, and the reflected trees with all the grittiness are very attractive.

Not quite what I would consider an odriew image, but I still really like it. The processing is beautiful ... the grain and softness are quite appealing to my eye. Add that to the understated toning and you have a splendid image.

Greetings from the Critique Club

Well, backdoorhippie, "back at ya."

Now it's my turn to critique one of yours!

Going strictly on what you show in the image and your title, whoa: "way too busy" "what's the subject?"
Those are the first questions that come to mind. Then, hey, what a strange mask; a dog's face would fit
in one of those. If I was voting I'd just go with the first 2 observations and keep going.

But looking at it in a critiquing mode - especially with your explanation, I'd just say that you had a great
story to tell, but the story needed to be distilled down to its essentials. There is so much information
in there, the super story was lost. (IMO of course)

Thank you for this image. I did wonder, upon occasion, how the dogs were protected, or even if they were
protected.
