This would be a lot crisper and much more appealing had the background been all white and set away from the subject a good distance so as not to create the shadows.

I believe you mean "Cheddar Cow Spotted." It's a nice enough photo except that the gray weeds look really out of place. Under advanced editing, I believe one might be able to clone out the worst of them. Same for the white spot on the cow's neck. Cows and minimalism seem to go well together, and this is one more good example.
