barbed by HUETHComment by Teafran: I believe we've entered the land of "barbed wire" genre of images. I'm not overly impressed by this, but the wire is incredibly detailed. I think it might have worked better with a little less background. |

hopeby HUETHComment by streetpigeon: Without the boat's name this would still be an admirable image, but what charm it adds. There's something stoically noble about this attenuated craft. The spindly angled supports are echoed by the pilings, if that's what they are, by the shore and the barely visible line of telephone or electric poles on the flat, slender horizon. Overcast and still. |

hopeby HUETHComment by Skip: great find, great subject, but i think you missed the composition and processing. as is, being off-balanced and eye-level, it doesn't really hold my attention. i like the black and white, but it seems in some areas a bit muddy and over-sharpened in others.
these are by no means perfect, but take a look to get an idea as to what i'm talking about. retired monster |

love of the gameby HUETHComment by Skip: Totally meets the challenge!
What next? Making a compelling image that says more than you had your camera at a kid's soccer game. If you want to score points, you have to do a little more. Next time, try sitting on the ground, or laying on the ground. Change in perspective can have a dramatic effect on your images. |
