I love the idea! You have some very nice parallelism going on in the background with the white stripes, green and blue parts, and the black line (bottom of fence?), and the two vertical posts. The drops of water on the table top are a very nice, but subtle, addition. The triangle formed by the table edge, white line and blue area makes a nice pointer to draw the eye towards the center of the picture. To me, the green of the table and the green of the ball don't work together. Something seems off in the dof - somehow I want the top of the ball to seem more in focus. Dirt on the ball is a distraction. The horizon (edge of table) not being level also works against the image. It'd also be worth exploring to align the one post and the center of the ball on a vertical axis, or to center the ball between the two vertical posts (camera slightly more to the left or right).

Not a fan of the angle and the motion blur distracts from what was gearing up to be a super crips shot (the fur on the front paw is tack sharp :)). Beautiful dog.
