There is something crazy going on with the processing of the leaf branch area, and in the context of the shot it works very well. I also think the low flat aspect, coupled with the flame-like trees against a powdery sky, creates a very pleasing feel, a terrific softness in the midst of the trees "dancing" for the viewer's pleaure. super job.

Severely compressed, whether intentional or not ... looks rather painterly. Compositionally this may be stronger if the top area above the snow line was cropped out.
