This is very nice, with a good tonal range and clarity. I'd suggest putting the feather more on the diagonal in the frame, to lead the viewer's eye from one corner to the other, through the entire width of the image...as it is, the eye just moves up and stops abruptly, leaving the viewer wanting to see more that isn't there. Like I said, though, it's very nice all the same. :)

Great shot with sharp details on all the coins. I like the composition with the coin's edges providing great use of line. The problem, however, is that this photo does not meet the challenge (IMHO) of shallow depth of field. Everything here is in sharp focus. Had you shot this from a slightly different angle using a smaller f/stop such that only a small part of the frame (perhaps the ridge on the California coin) was sharply focused and the rest blurred- it would have gotten a higher score from me.

I don't see much DOF effect in this picture. I do like the image otherwise - it's well shot and image is crisp.
