this is FANTASTIC ..
i looked at the challenge as thumbs and this one jumped out at me .. so i had to open it .. i wasnt counting .. but would have been approx between 30 and 60 seconds later that i could see the entire image ..
this is definitely a 10 in my book .. and if i give you that right now it means i would have to vote on the whole challenge .. which would take a whole day .. slight exaggeration .. but its almost worth it to make sure you get the blue ribbon as this is a work of art ..
if your score drops a heap at rollover it means that i couldnt spare the time to open 27 images ..
after saying all that i havent opened any of the other 26 photos .. but as thumbs this would have to be a winner .. :)

you had some real competition .. but this still got my highest vote .. a 10 ..

he's a good model, I think tighter just a headshot would have made a stronger entry with his curly hair a freckles and a shallow depth of field there would be lots of interest

Good natural portrait. Sharpness exactly at the eyes, as it should be. The backlight of the sun works well here.
