not a great background...this would have been amazing with a white background or similar as she has a pretty face and great eyes that have relly connected with the lens...so choice of background will hurt the score

I think maybe a smidge more contrast would have helped. The light is too harsh and blanches out the lighter areas a bit too much. Although it's a newborn, the blanket kind of kills it for me. Maybe a tight crop with just the baby's face and hand with part of the mom's would still convey the message but rid it of some of the busy blanket distraction.

Really is sweet and nothing beats a newborn babe to warm your heart. Congrats to the new mother!!!
