Grievingby jpochardComment by levyj413: WOW! What an image. From concept to execution. Had I been around, this would've been a 9 or 10. I get the personification completely, and the "tear" just completes it. |

My Dadby jpochardComment by Noel_ZH: I like the shot, lot of character. Background is fine, making me focus on his head. Colors look just right and military asspciation is a nice touch with his content smile. Only possible tip, reduce red noise (seen on hat), sharpen and bringing out the shadows of the shirt a little? |

Dad bwby jpochardComment by fotomann_forever: This portrait is great. A very distinguished looking gentleman and quite young and spry looking for his age. |

Psalm 30by jpochardComment by Bosborne: Nice photo, however, I'd extend the green box and include the quote inside the box. I'd reduce the size of the font and make the photo the subject. The quote is kinda overwhelming the photo. Just my 2¢ worth. |

Psalm 30by jpochardComment by slickchik: This is very beautiful. These last 14 months, I have been hanging onto this verse and waiting for morning. What an amazing encouragement to me right now...out of nowhere :-)

Psalm 30by jpochardComment by gg3rd: Beautiful poster!
I think the Bible verse is just right!
I also like the thinner green line you used in the border. Maybe even the (black) border could be thinner too, but that's not an issue at all.
This font is much better. I would make 1 point smaller, though, and/or not use bold - I think it will make the whole poster "lighter" and more balanced, by driving the viewer's attention a little bit more on the image.
These are just my personal observations, which I don't consider indispensible.
This is a fine work of yours just as is. Congratulations!

Actually, we were in a National Park (Yellowstone, I think.) It was at the end of the day and we were on the park road going back to our accomodations. It wasn't very crowded at all. I wasn't driving...just on the passenger side looking out the window (with my camera in my lap.) Suddenly, my sis - who was driving - just stopped and said, "Look!" She just stopped right in the road and I told her to turn of the engine (because I would be using my zoom, and because of the low light, I didn't want any vibration from the car.) I only had the time to take one quick shot...you can see the deer was just starting to move as I took this shot.
It was very cool and I'm glad you like the photo. Technically, it's not the best, but it's one of my favorites from the trip. |
