A Tack on the Killer Tomatoby

(1) COMPOSITION (CONTENT) Well composed. The use of three tacks is significant as the human brain sees that number as being well balanced. The humor behind this shot is what makes this photo special. I suppose it does help to have seen the referenced movie.
(2) BACKGROUND The colors in the upper right corner are a bit distracting. They would have been wasy enough to clone out. I like your shallow DOF which has thrown the background out of focus.
(3) CAMERA WORK ,TECHNICAL Exposure is good, but not great. The blown out highlight on the tomato is very distracting. The shallow DOF is great for the background but is a little too shallow as 2 of the tacks and a great deal of the tomato are out of focus.
(4) DIGITAL PROCESSING ,TECHNICAL
Some of the problems with this image could have been cleaned up in Photoshop, but not all of them. You may have taken this photo at the last minute, but I get the feeling that it was sort of rushed.
(5)MEETING THE CHALLENGE This photo does a very good job of meeting the challenge.
(6) MY OPINION ON THE PHOTO This is more of a snap shot than a fine art photograph. Snapshots do have their place though, and it looks as if you had fun setting this up and taking it. its all about the joy afterall.
