Nightmareby nsoroma79Comment by talikf: Original idea but a little freaky, not sure why but there's something I don't like about it, it kind of scares me :( 7 for creativity. It counts for me. |

Left Behindby nsoroma79Comment by RobotBanjo: Oh, sheesh, that is quite an eerie picture! I love how she's centered and I love that window to the side of her. I don't love the plug or the corner. But the picture is fantastic all the same, great score too! |

Left Behindby nsoroma79Comment by kari1: ::: Critique Club :::
Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.
First Impression - the most important one:
This is one of my favorites from the challenge .. and I think is extremely well thought out and executed.
Subject:
Really does meet the challenge ...
Composition:
Here you did well ... but your little girl is extremely centered in the shot .. I would have loved to have had more empty space to the left of her to create that full empty room feeling .... the expression and the ghost status of her works incredibly well.
Technical (Colour and light):
Black and white was really a must for this shot. The picture is nice and sharp if not a little small. Maximising a shot to 640 (which most people voting allow for on their screens) just creates that slightly bigger impact if an image.
To grow its vote?:
Two things here .. the first is this is advanced so you could have cloned out the plugs .. also I think that having air flapping the curtains would have created a slightly more erie feel.
Summary:
Great work .. well done.
If you've got any questions about this critique, please feel free to contact me via the PM system.
Cheers

What's the buzz?by nsoroma79Comment by Imagineer: Good subject and composition. Looking at your processing it's possible that your camera is quite low resolution, or that you have heavily cropped, then sharpened your image. Voters won't like that unfortunately.
However, there is still plenty of interest in your shot so good luck. |
