You've certainly captured motion, but I'd say it's very difficult to use a slow shutter on a game of football, just due to changes in direction. The contrast on the shot seems a bit low. I think I'd have tried auto-levels or auto-contrast to try and bring out the green a little brighter as well as other elements of the shot. Good try.

I really like the motion blur, but think it would be more effective if the background were not in motion and also if it were a bit more level. At that distance, I guess the only way to do that is with a tripod. Still, this is a nice action shot.
