I can tell he loves to be outdoors and the light there suits him. Nice tones and detail in the fur. Can you process to get a bit more detail in the eye - even though it's in shadow, I think you could make it work.

If there was a Like button here, we'd be wearing it out just for the shots of Hoover. He's totally loveable! Good shot, too.

Looks like he making sure you get the right shot here. Who is actually in charge anyway? Like the shallow DOF, no need to have all the grass in perfect focus.

He still looks like a puppy here. What a cutie! My dog, at age 7, still loves her flat football. Focus, DOF, and color are spot on. If it were my shot, I might brighten the midtones up about 1/2 a stop, but it's not far off.

His body looks overmatched by the size of the ball. But I'm sure his heart isn't!

I love how the focus on the grass fades from front to back (more detailed/clear in front) while Hoover stays crisp and clear. A fun capture ... I can just hear the growl if a hand reached for the ball now.

I might have cropped this even tighter. But it's still another good shot of Hoover.

This a very attractive shot. The background bokeh adds a very nice element.

Oh so sweet. I hope you could let him go for a visit with Ben. A photo of the 2 of them would be a bonus.
