Infinite Emptinessby JoelHSmithComment by Moose101: Excellent composition here (IMO)! Simplicity at it's best, great use of negative space and it adds because your facing into the photo as if there is something hiding in that white space! I would have burned the shadow out of existence (well out of the photo anyways). Good Luck. |

Infinite Emptinessby JoelHSmithComment by Skip: i don't know anything about portraiture, so i'm using your image as a guinnea pig as to what i think i would or wouldn't do in this situation, as well as what i notice and get out of your image.
this rocks! great job, all the way around. the lighting, colors, composition, pose, expression all come together. way to go! 8 from me. |

Infinite Emptinessby JoelHSmithComment by cbeller: Dude, you look so sad. You just got married and returned from Hawaii...it can't be that bad!! :-)
Must be nice having a good studio at your disposal. Lighting is great, negative space is great. Should place up there. Good luck Joel. |

Infinite Emptinessby JoelHSmithComment by Jas: seems flat, you need to either exagerate your side light or add a back light, a perfectionist would do both. but i like the angle your sitting on the chair, makes me unconfortable, i guess thats how i would feel in emptiness 6 |
