Morning Harvestby puppet10Comment by HBunch: This is a great idea! I love how it was done. Maybe the vegetables could have a bit more lighting, but don't know how you could have done that to make it still look good with that background lighting. The title is Morning Harvest. To me, that reminds me of the vegetables just coming in from outside. Being picked first thing in the morning. That image also produces little droplets of dew. Could a spray bottle be used to produce that kind of slightly damp image I wonder? Another thing that could have added to this already wonderful shot would be to have a longer stem coming off one of the tomatoes or to have the large tomato on the top turned slightly so the stem showed. Great job with this one! Good luck in the challenge. |

Morning Harvestby puppet10Comment by jsabbarton: This is a superbly atmospheric shot. The use of the morning rays cutting through the mist outside the window is great. DOF is spot on; the soft focus background and crispness of the foreground subject hold the attention while, at the same time, being pleasing on the eye. The balance of high and low contrast is spot on, it looks early, it looks real and it hasn't got a 'Set up' feelâ€Â¦ Great shot – worthy 10â€Â¦ Good luckâ€Â¦ |

Morning Harvestby puppet10Comment by mickahail: Very cool, but the subject (as per the title) is mostly in shadow, so the eye is drawn to the brightest spot, the light outside rather than the veges. Nonetheless, I think the lighting is interesting, just not for the purposes of getting your audience to examine the contents of the basket. |

Morning Harvestby puppet10Comment by courtenay27: This is a really nice composition. Even though I can tell that it is sharp and in focus it still has a soft feel to it because of the dimly lit foreground, blurred background and sunlit haze, which I like. I am wondering how it may look with a little more light from the right side to further illuminate the food and bring out a little more color to help balance out the greens. Overall, very well done. Score: 8 Courtenay |
