In the Redwoodsby sfaliceComment by optix: Absolutely gorgeous scene with warm, dense color and dof. I especially like the way the background is framed between the two massive trees with the dappled lighting drapped over the base of the tree on the right... 10 |

In the Redwoodsby sfaliceComment by rennie: The roots are great. Sky is barely visible, so I would suggest to crop it out and focus on the roots. It would've been interesting to move a bit to the right to get different persective and give the picture more air by getting rid of the heavy tree on the left or making it less prominent. |

Petite & Sweetby sfaliceComment by tootsweet: What does this for me is the use of color. So many folks went with b&w or silver/gray. There is a simplicity in the elegance of the color. I wonder what this looks like tilted 180 degrees...right now the camera is upside down. Could be distracting, yet perhaps this angle is correct...wish I could turn my monitor on it's head to figure it out. |

In the Redwoodsby sfaliceComment by fridjo: This is not dappled light in my opinion - dappled light is light shining through several small apertures, functioning as pinhole cameras, creating circular images on the ground. Sorry, did not vote on this one. |
