There must have been the rudiments of these colors in the image because when I used a light "cartoon" effect from Simplify to start the processing, some pale forms of these colors came through. But that's what "selective colors" are for, and I just used the sliders liberally until the pale colors became vivid enough to appeal to me.

If they were not there, I would have no problem using Match Colors and a palette of my own making.

this is really cool but I think you over sharpened...see the glow lines on the top of the ...and your mirror want very clean (or you sensor)...just wondering is that what they mean when they talk about "hot pixels/spots"?
