Crossing Swordsby sfaliceComment by posthumous: Tross's obsession with birds gets the better of him in his fifth avian novel. The open aggression of beak on beak action simply cannot deliver the same suspenseful terror of Hitchcock's birds, who seemed always waiting... waiting... and the scene where Kim Jong Un cancels lunch so he can watch two mourning doves peck each other stretches believability beyond the breaking point. |
