Patent Penguinby wwjdwithcaComment by inspzil: Its too underexposed. This kind of has a dark artsy feel to it, which I like. I don't feel that's a good quality in the photojournalistic world of magazines like NG. It's a little too much like a mug shot. |

When Memories of War Begin to Fade...by wwjdwithcaComment by wwjdwithca: Thanks for all of your comments. I thought this image would do better, but after reading the comments I think I didn't do a good enough job telling the story.
The lights to right are automobiles on the freeway. Notice the white lights coming,and the red lights going. The idea is that as war memories (or nightmares) fade, a new reality appears that can be just as frightening and disconcerting as the immediate life and death situations that one faces in war-time. |
