I think I'd make a mask for the far background and blur the heck out of it (or fill with a gradient) so this would look more like a studio shot than a candid portrait. Great pose/expression.

Very nice composition, but the colors don't seem to be fully clear. I think it's just my monitor not being able to display all the nuances, but I'd check the bottom half of the flower just in case, there seems to be some solidification of colors. i like the bud in the background. Not exactly a top "extraordinary" challenge entry, but a very nice photo.
