Fantastic, what appeal from a simple shot of a scissors. It is this kind of photographic vision that keeps me coming back to this site. Your shot makes it worth it to click through dozens of OK photographs just to wait for that moment of brilliance. About the shot, such excellent visual appeal, such sharp lines and contrasting colors. The bottom part of the orange seems a bit off in color, but that might just be the texture of the plastic itself. This image is my first (and maybe only) 10 of the challenge. Hats off to you.

There is something about a giraffe that you just have to love. Personally I feel that the subject is too "dead center" for this photo to be as good as its potential. If you cropped the tree trunk out of the left part of the photo it would move his eyes into the top left "rule of thirds" position. The exposure is very nice, no harsh shadows or glaring highlights. Good photo, with the possibily or becoming great with a little work.
