Love the background. The dark of the front is a bit offsetting. I think I'd crop past that dark rock in the foreground. The rest is too stunning@!

I was certain someone was going to provide a mushroom photo. it won a previous Textures challenge :) Anyway, as far as the photo is concerned the DOF bothers me a tad because there seems to be so much blur in the foreground. Maybe an improvement on DOF? Of the whole image, only about 35% is discernable and in focus. Great color and concept.

Looks like you were just a hair too close for the macro in this image. The lighting is excellent but for me, the DOF is too shallow - I keep thinking my eyes are out of focus. The composition, crop, POV, and tones are all excellent. 5
