Nicely composed. Feels very summery to me. Looks like the head is not quite in focus but it's close. Could be the softness of the forward wing tricking my eye.

Well, I have to say that I totally agree with you. This image is exquisite, and was the one I loved most alongside Mary Anne̢۪s winning image. They are both similar to me in beauty and perfect use of light and shadows. I am shocked to see it in a very undeserving 11th place. I added it to my favorites during the challenge and will come back to it often as I try to improve my low key photography.
