Outstanding concept, with a lot of potential. It is the execution I think is lacking. At first/quick glance, these are the flaws that compete and overshadow the image:

grayish/bluish cast from light flare, especially in center of image
glasses are not equidistant - for a precision shot like this, that's an issue
messy - most shots of this type are tough because of the cleanup between attempts. Water splashes everywhere are distracting and a detriment to the image.

Had that thought but smokes smoke not air, tried a bubble over the top of the glass but water burst it doing it all in 1 exposure
