Purpleby nicklevyComment by pcody: I agree about the lighting. Did you try cropping down to just the flower? I think with the amount of detail you have it would make an interesting abstract. |

Flowerdescentby nicklevyComment by moodville: Very vibrant orange. I like the reddish tinge on the leaves too, they also have a nice framing silhouette thing too. |

Purpleby nicklevyComment by cbeller: sharp focus on the petals, but the lighting is a little harsh. Hard to control the sunlight. :) |

Attitudeby nicklevyComment by BobsterLobster: Nice depth of field, although the light is a little harsh resulting in a loss of possible saturation. I would have waited until it was overcast... or have found something to block the direct sunlight. |

Sliceby nicklevyComment by whagerbaumer: This is nice in that some of the petals are backlit and some are in direct light. I think a better picture could be taken when there is less glare. |

Sliceby nicklevyComment by shoyles: The focus and interesting light patterns seems to be on the leaf in front of the flower. This is a little distracting from the subject. |

Sliceby nicklevyComment by markmyshots: the only thing that seems in focus here is the leaf at the bottom left...is this on purpose? If so, i'd think that focus on the great red and yellow flower would have been better. |

In the countryby nicklevyComment by cghubbell: I like the deicate detail in the silhouetted tree balancing the stronger detail of the fence. The cropped ratio feels awkward to me... I'd like to see it more rectangular so I could see more of the fence. |

In the countryby nicklevyComment by dhare: Powerful shot. I would be interested how it would have looked when the sun was a little lower on the horizon. |
