I like the image and what the boy is doing. However, the left side is really distracting and I think a tighter crop would have been better: it also would bring the subject out of the centre.

Now, you really know how to make a person's heart go thump!!! Go Dallas!!! (I am assuming this is Dallas because I haven't seen him in pictures in a while so sorry if I am off.)

I am liking the DoF here, front and back. The B&W conversion is very good and you have captured some light and shadow well placed on the subject. The size of the boy in the frame suggests his meekness and emotionally depicts the size of his personal challenge to get back up on the skateboard.
