In case anyone is wondering, this isn't my "normal" work. I Photoshoped this image to death to prove a point in a discussion in one of the forums. Now that the advanced editing rules have been established it will be interesting to see how many people turn in images like this one. Either way, my point here was that this kind of PS work will never score high at DPC and rightfully so - so people needn't worry about Photoshop ruining DPChallenge...

This certainly met the challenge and it is an interesting transformation of the everyday to abstraction. There is little to critique here, but perhaps the lighting could have been a little more generalized to pick up the right side of the brush and balance the image. The texture and light on the bristles is very nice and DOF works well. The translucence of the handle especially under the bristles on the left side of the image is very interesting and, again, it might have been good to see that on the left as well. Thanks for the image.
