I am not sure however that the contrast between what we see and our expectations (the whole idea behind this shot) is obvious without reading your comment first. |

The texture of the bark against the smooth inside of each piece of wood is well suited to monochrome (and the sky is great too). I think the composition could be improved by shooting at an angle and using the fence to guide the viewer within the frame. |

In this one, and just a nit pic, I think this photograph would be lots better if you had captured the little girl without the last inch or so of detail at the top of the image. |
