Seamstressby GraciousComment by irae: Better with the light source moved behind your right shoulder, perhaps. Great sharpness and a nice, tight comp. |

Wonderous Findby GraciousComment by DougPaz: Pretty cool, have you notified the local museum? LOL I'm not sure if the pine cone adds to or detracts from the shot. Nice color and focus. DPz |

Driftwoodby GraciousComment by jmsetzler: Gracious, I really enjoyed this photo. It was one of my favs in the free study challenge :) Maybe you could elaborate on what is visible through the hole in the wood? That puzzled me from the beginning, but I still love the shot :) |

Left, Right, Left, Right, Leftby GraciousComment by jmsetzler: Greetings from the critique Club :)
Gracious,
The capture of motion here is nice, but the image quality is lacking. You did not include your camera settings for this shot, so I can't really comment on how they affected the outcome of the image. It looks like high iso probably..
Compositionally, I would have tried to include the feet of the girl in the foreground. "Marching" is the theme of this shot and the feet that are doing this marching are cut off in the bottom of the frame.
Shots like this one are difficult for sure :)

Wonderous Findby GraciousComment by Anachronite: interesting subjects... but I think the l light source appears to be artifical and thus detracts from the nature of the challenge |

Driftwoodby GraciousComment by Gotcha: This has some serious potential, but it\'s missing something, I can\'t put a finger on it. I don\'t know what the rest of the wood looks like, so I\'m not sure if you can step back a bit without bringing something ugly into the shot. Or maybe something of greater interest in the window like a sunset or a flower, maybe a tree??? I like the subject - 8 Gotcha |
