My personal fave for this challenge. Reminds me of the images you see on promotional posters for camera film. I would have given it a 10 if only the slight distractions in the background were not present. Would have also have been nice to maybe have a slight glimpse of the main subjects face. Apart from that...a wonderful wonderful image. Good luck!

Great colour and detail on the feathers, and an amazing pose from your model, but the top is far overexposed, and it destroys the details of the bird's head and the background. I see there is a figure way in the background too.. i don't know what it is, but if it is more than just a dirt spot or mistake, perhaps it could have been closer to be a part of the picture's story rather than an outlyer.

The bird part is great. The background looks like something went wrong with a telepod experiment or something. Too bright IMO and difficult to determine what's really going on there.

Excellent colors. the blown out sky with (a bird) is distracting, and it took off the left side of the parrots face. Little faster shutter speed may have done it, since it looks like the feathers a are somewhat blurred from movement.

You have a nice composition here. I like the line of pearls and the mix of leafs below them. You already mentioned the few things I was going to comment on. The glare of the light, the color tone and saturation of the leafs, etc. The only other technical aspect would be the focus. It seems off some how. Not blurry really, but just not real sharp. Did you use a tripod for this shot? With that slow of a shutter speed you had to. If so, did you use a remote shutter release or timer? Maybe the focus issue is camera shake when you press the shutter. Your picture doesn't have any compression issues.

This is a nice concept and good composition. I think that as you get a handle on your lighting and colors you will be grabbing many ribbons.

Beautiful display of color. You did well but a front view with the face exposed would have also been good, maybe even a little better, but very nice.
