Bello Verdeby GraciousComment by autool: Nice colorful curves, and good color. I feel it would be more effective if less centered and a little more exposure to reduce the grain. Not a bad job though. 5 |

Self-Propelledby GraciousComment by dsidwell: Greetings from the Critique Club!
I concur with all of the compliments below!
In this image, my attention immediately goes to the lovely colors of the sunset. But then there's something in my way--the bike! It gets marvelous focus there, and I like the fact that it is in sillhouette. The composition uses the rules of thirds nicely, adding interest and reminding us that the bike, though important, isn't so important that it should get all of the focus. The horizon line is also well placed, giving the sky preeminence, but also letting the water add some say, too. The mood is peaceful and view stunning.
Your image really captures the essence of "bike-ness" very well. It reminds us that biking is soothing, calm, and that great things can be seen when on a bike.
I can't think of any improvements. Sorry. Maybe the bikes' silhouette should be sharper?
I think this photo does what it sets out to do: show us not only a bike, but the pleasures of bike riding as well.
Nice job!

Add Milk and Honey and Blend Wellby GraciousComment by Paige: Critique Club
By Paige
Hello there.
Nice subject for the tryptic challenge, meets the challenge well.
Composition on each individual shot is done well, but I think the way you combined them could have been stronger. The placement of the strawberry shot is a little off, I think if you had not overlapped it with the other shot it would have improved the visual impact.
Technically, the strawberry image looks digital, could have been the lighting, but to me it lacks sharpness, looks like maybe there was some camera shake. The blender image is strong and works well and the finished smoothie looks like it was lit well, but the background is too grey and drab for such a subject, there is also a dark grey line on the bottom of it that is a bit distracting.
I don't think that is a "hair" on the bottom of the glass, it looks to me like one of those circles you see on the bottom of some glasses, but I can see how someone could mistake it for that, maybe a "cleaner" glass next time.
I like the frame, the colors are nice and compliment the images well, maybe a thinner outer border would be a bit better.
Over all a good job on the challenge, telling the story of smoothie making well.

A Florida Lagoonby GraciousComment by kiwiness: A wonderful sunset (sunrise?) photo. You really caught the light at the correct moment. You've depicted the coldness of the sky at the top of the image transforming into the warmth of the sunlit clouds as you go down. I like it. The text flow and positioning doesn't really do much for me though. |

Bello Verdeby GraciousComment by Chez: A little imagination here, which is refreshing for this challenge, good colors, good focus and good composition. Did you use a macro? |
