Unusual choice of camera settings. ISO 1600 (which can be seen as some noise in the image), but a 1/6400 shutter speed. Maybe you were intentionally aiming to produce the grainy look?

This is fantastic. The lighting and b&w converstion is well done. It's just a personal preference, but I always like extreme composition with silly faces like this. Like creating a lot of negative space on the left side of the image. But that's just a preference and it's a nice shot either way. The D300 is really allowing you little grain at ISO 1250.

Beautiful girl as well. Hang on to her! :)
