the way it wasby mariucaComment by insteps: I like this version because you got in closer. I'd be tempted to crop this square and remove the modern car reflection on the right. The window, text, shadows, tones and subject matter reminds me of Saul Leiter. One of my favorite photographers so I do like this. Nicely spotted! |

A terrific geometric design, punctuated by the irregular lines of and intruding human form. Bravo! |

Question.by mariucaComment by wbanning: Somehow, I see this as a coffee table in front of a sofa. Attempting to keep guests away?
Well captured and processed. |

Glory to foodby mariucaComment by wbanning: Not sure the omelets from this establishment would be easy to digest... oh wait, that's a rooster, isn't it? Nevermind.
Nice use of the window and archway to frame the subject! |

as sun setsby mariucaComment by streetpigeon: Very nice, with so many juicy details. I prefer this version to the other, landscape orientation. In that other version I felt the left third added little of interest and, however quirky, didn't go for the car floating over the table. This version gives greater emphasis to the man and I prefer the more muted lighting on his head. So I like this very much. It's both intimate and expansive. My favorite detail is the shadow of the window lettering thrown casually across and over his shoulder. From it you can understand where the sun is, and I love making inferences of what's outside the frame. |
