does ubique do meta? this is not the only shot in the challenge that tries to combine observer and observed (or creator and created) into one object. In another shot, they blend into each other. Here they maintain their distance... and the shot becomes about the gap between them. Conceptually not very interesting but it is pleasing to look at because the balance between observer and observed is maintained by the composition... the eye just naturally goes back and forth between them. One can peacefully look at this shot for a long time.

You've celebrated one of my favourite things: a photograph about The Photograph. You've also composed it perfectly and handled the challenging tonal range with great skill. But that technical stuff is for me all subordinate to the main theme, which is "What is a photograph? Why do we take photographs? What do they mean?" I just love all that philosophical stuff.
