morning lightby bigskyeyeComment by JuliBoc: Lovely still life. I would love my morning to look like that. I would score this a little higher if it were more yellow. This seems quite brown/orange to me |

morning lightby bigskyeyeComment by SandyP: How beautiful this is! I love its softness, and the mood the whole scene creates. This is exquisite still life. Congratulations. |

morning lightby bigskyeyeComment by EL-ROI: I like the soft morning light and you made a very nice still life set up. I'm afraid the highlights in the background are very blown which creates further exposure problems into the foreground. (The brightness of the background pours into the foreground.) I think a good fix might have been to bracket your exposures and merge into HDR for a more even exposure throughout. |

a brand new dayby bigskyeyeComment by bigskyeye: Super happy to be on the front page! The shot was three bracketed exposures at f22 so I have to give props to my wife Bev and especially my dog Shelby for sitting still during 1/20th, 1/80th and 1/5th second shots. Thanks for all the comments, I actually had to tone down sun̢۪s rays because they looked a little manufactured in my first attempt.
We love this area and walk Shelby there once a week or so during the winter because it doesn̢۪t usually get heavy snow. It is the location of one of the first Lewis & Clark camps after entering the Rocky Mountains, Sacajawea started to remember her childhood home at this location (she was kidnaped as a child) and helped choose the route west. |
