Preferred Guest by Mwilton111Comment by adigitalromance: I really like this because it conveys the duality I always feel when staying in a hotel. both the visibility from the outside, i.e. feeling like people can see you; as well as the feeling of looking out and wanting to be a part of the night and the city. It's almost a feeling of being halfway in and halfway out, floating over the city while never leaving the room. This captures the dreamy, in-between emotion of transience and movement. |

Until the End...by Mwilton111Comment by bspurgeon: I like the presentation of symbolism. I'm not certain what was originally implied by the sign, but it's associated aging structure mirrors the emptiness (time) of the foreground. Passage of time is seen in the broken shafts of grass. Although I don't like the halo around the building, overall, I like your choice of processing. 9 |

Until the End...by Mwilton111Comment by Paul: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: Tons to like here, wonderful coloration, great balance between foreground and background elements, the vignette and the scene itself. Then the 'NO EVACUATION POSSIBLE' sign - interesting and confounding in equal measure.
Critical stuff: Perhaps the foreground grass is just a tiny bit over sharp??
Overall: Great image, well balanced and engaging. |

Until the End...by Mwilton111Comment by bvy: An interesting enough scene that could stand on its own. The post processing kind of ruins it for me. |
