In my opinion, the main part of the photo being the waterfall and surrounding shrubs are blown out i.e. overexposed and the darker areas are underexposed, that's probably the main reason the phot did not score the way you wanted it to. I think it's a bit soft also, I would like a photo of this type to be crystal clear, a tripod is a must and maybe a longer exposure. I like the subject matter just not the way it was exposed and the focus.

WOW .. looks like the maker of that plane has his/her competition cut out for him/her with the person who took the photo .. as in the talent .. if they are one and the same person then what a talented and creative person you are ..
loving the sopwith camel .. i can imagine that when its finished being made another wonderful photo could be in the offing ... or a series of its transformation ..
but even at this stage .. not fully finished .. its a thing of beauty ..
definitely a ribbon contender .. in more ways than one . !! .. :)
