Yesteryear by MargaretNetComment by vawendy: Not crazy about filters made to look like paintings. But either this is a painting, or it did a really cool job on a photograph. I honestly don't know what I'm looking at |

Morning has brokenby MargaretNetComment by MargaretNet: Originally posted by ThingFish: It cannot be a Dawn Breaking as nothing is broken or destroyed in the process. A dawn breaking is just a description of the sun coming up and the light of day starting to spread. Now if the challenge did not have that specified description added then yes a dawn breaking would have been a perfect way to portray the challenge theme.
Have you thought of it like that? If you do I am sure you will see my point.
Kind regards

Fred, the night and the darkness are broken by the light of the morning, which we are always grateful to see. |

Morning has brokenby MargaretNetComment by ThingFish: Hiya Margaret...Just read your comment in the "Photographer's Comments".
Just wanted to explain my thinking and interpretation of the description as I had 2 other members write to me explaining how they interpreted the description and so they, like you tied it to a Dawn Breaking.
I get what you and them are saying but I still think you and and a few other people misinterpreted the description of the title properly which says:
My take is as follows:
Description
Somewhere on the continuum between whole and obliterated.
Now that together with the title Break, Breaking Broken says to me that it has to be something that is in a state between whole and obliterated in other words the physical process from being not broken right through to the state of being totally broken/destroyed/obliterated. It cannot be a Dawn Breaking as nothing is broken or destroyed in the process.
