pier at sunsetby wkmenComment by gloda: Cool colours! I love how the reflection shows only part of the sky, and how it is shaped by the waves. Those waves also suggest some movement, wich, along with the birds and persons, gives the picture a soul, it's not a sterile neat landscape, but there's life in it. You might have considered another crop, I don't like the centered horizon. You should choose either two thirds of sky or two thirds of ground. You say it's a zoom version, so that should be possible to do. |

estate courtyardby wkmenComment by gloda: Niced perspective on the building. The various patterns make it almost blend with its surrounding, although I'm not sure wether that's a good thing. The sky's a bit blown out, and I'd have cropped the row of trees on the far right side. |

old barn and buttercupsby wkmenComment by gloda: Lovely colours. I'd push the green in the trees a bit more. I like how you brought in a feeling for pespective with that blurred plant in the lower-right corner foreground. The tilted horizon makes the picture really dynamic. I also like the contrast between nature's work and man's creation...or vice versa. |

pier reflectionsby wkmenComment by suemack: Composition and perspective of this shot really appeals to me. The b/w and fog in the distance gives a wonderfully moody atmosphere. |

pier at sunsetby wkmenComment by samtrundle: Love the reflections here, greazt colours, great silhouettes, possibly the footprints(?) in the foreground could be cloned out, but all in all this is a very good image. |

solitary sunsetby wkmenComment by TooCool: My first impression of this shot is that you've lost your models head... I find this to be quite distracting in an otherwise beautiful shot. If s/he was lower (squating down or kneeling) so that they don't dissappear into the background, this would be damn near perfect

old barn and buttercupsby wkmenComment by samtrundle: This is a nice shot but yes, that branch is a distraction, and I think perhaps you have too much foreground (in spite of the foreground being quite interesting) - I'd like to see a bit more of the trees behind the ramshackle shed - the one right next to it seems a little unnaturally truncated. |

pier reflectionsby wkmenComment by TooCool: Like the overall composition and tonality of this one. I do think you're tilted though. The main beam of the pier is not true vertical and the horizon is off. This is an easy fix in Photoshop. PM me if ya need to know how. With the skew of the rest of the beams in the pier though, I'm not sure that straightening the horizon will make it look more balanced or actually make it look more crooked...

life's ebb & flowby wkmenComment by samtrundle: This has potential but the trees are a little out of focus and in parts over-exposed. Also, the ocean does seem a little unreal - though I have occasionally seen it take similar colours, so it may just be a particularly beautiful day in a particularly beautiful spot. |
