Whirled Wide Webby NeilComment by Teafran: I'm sitting here at my desk and banging my head against the keyboard because all the wonderful images in this challenge make me feel horribly inadequate. :>) I'm running out of positive things to say - I'm going to have to start repeating myself. Perfect composition, the fish eye look enhances the overall impact of the image, very subtle color, almost an HDR look to it. Very nice capture and composition. Well done. |

From Russia with Lustby NeilComment by EL-ROI: Lovely. I think the lines of the edges of her nose needs a little shadow to define those edges. It looks a little bulbous as it is. I am no expert, but maybe a little touch of the burn brush to create that edge?? Otherwise, a great portrait. |

Week 3: First Smoke Capture!by NeilComment by MacDonald: Neil, if this is your first attempt then we are all in for a treat if you continue to include us in your other shots of smoke too .. Tango! Yes, that's what comes to mind - the 'figure' in the left has well defined buttocks of a male dancer - the hint of color a quick moment of his partners costume - for something as wispy as smoke you have created some very solid parts - I will be looking forward to seeing many more attempts .. I usually stay away from any technical comments as I am not very knowledgeable in that area and I much prefer to try and covey to the creator of the photo the feelings it creates in my mind but in this instance I would like to say that it takes a lot of skill to photograph smoke and decision on what b/g to use - camera settings etc . and your skills are showing :) |
